Sarah BUTLER, lMsw

I am passionate about working with and supporting people through complex changes and difficult chapters of their lives. My approach is strength based, as I work from the understanding that you are the utmost expert of your own experience. I work as your ally, empowering you to explore your life’s circumstances in order to bring awareness to your interactions and insight to your patterns. I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques, CBT and psychodynamic theory in a highly personalized manor to address your specific goals and help you to start creating healthy change in your life.

I received my Masters of Social Work from Columbia University, where I primarily worked with individuals who experienced trauma and mood-related disorders. Prior to my graduate school career, I worked with children with neurodevelopmental disorders engaging in treatment for social and emotional development. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and complex trauma.
